Football may well be coming home! Sunderland has been chosen as one of fifteen cities that might host the 2018 World Cup.
The draw has already been made and it features some of the biggest stadia in the country with the likes of Emirates, Old Trafford, The Olympic Stadium and of course The Stadium of Light. Newcastle/Gateshead’s St. James’ Park also made the cut among other venues throughout the country. However, Hull, Leicester and Derby didn’t make the final fifteen.
FIFA will announce whether or not England has won the right to host the World Cup in late 2010.
