Bio
VICE club recently celebrated their first birthday, making it one of the few hard dance nights in the northeast to successfully showcase international DJ talent month after month, with a fantastic response from local clubbers. Now nominated for the 2010 Hard dance awards, VICE club has become one of the number one destinations for hard dance fans in the region. Encorparating music across the wide spectrum of hard dance, Dj’s have included Andy Farley, Paul Glazby, Andy Whitby, BK, and ADAM LAB4 to name a few.
VICE club launched in November 2008, with headliner Anne Savage christening the decks. The atmosphere was electric, an up for it crowd who were friendly, passionate about their music, and most of all, just wanted to dance. Word quickly spread, and it wasn’t long before a bigger venue was needed. 4 venues later, and VICE club have finally found their spiritual home in Newcastle’s biggest basement nightclub: Legends. Better known until recently for their rock nights, Legends is big, dark and loud, with a state of the art sound-system. Perfect for hard dance! With a 1200 capacity in one room, and the same again in the second, Legends has given VICE club plenty of scope to keep on growing in 2010.
Perhaps one of the main successes of VICE club has been it’s resident DJ’s: Kerry James, Vicky Vegas and techno duo Mick Lindsay & Dan Hawkins. Kerry James, somewhat of a legend on the northest hard dance scene, has played everywhere from Godskitchen, to Goodgreef and Creamfields. Having started out as a resident for Rockshots, her talent quickly got her a residency at Newcastle biggest trance night, Promise. She has had radio play across the region, and played alongside the likes of Lisa Lashes, Eddie Haliwell and Lab4 on many occasions.
2010 see’s VICE club continue to go from strength to strength, with monthly events guaranteed to get the crowd dancing from start to finish.
