A US consumer group claim that Go Go Hamsters, which scurry and squeal when poked, have higher than allowed levels of the element antimony.
The group tested three Mr Squiggles models from the range, which is one of the most sought after products this Christmas.
The makers of the Go Go Hamstere Cepia, rejects claims from US consumer organisation GoodGuide that a chemical foundon one of its Go Go Hamsters toys was at possibly dangerous levels.

Professor Dara O’Rourke, from GoodGuide, said antimony “has potential health hazards related to it which, if ingested in high enough levels can lead to cancer, reproductive health and other human health hazards”.
